Christmas breads and holiday hearts… this is the way the holiday starts!

A workshop in Greek and an opportunity for children to explore Christmas Greek traditions through festive activities.
Children will watch a fascinating performance of the Christmas Greek tale ‘To χελιδόνι που Περίμενε τα Χριστούγεννα’.

After the performance children will learn about the origin, symbolism and significance of the most important Greek Christmas savoury and sweet dishes and this will lead to the Christopsomo making (a traditional festive bread). Children will then make felt Christmas decorations and sing Greek carols.

The event is co-organised by the Hellenic Centre and the Hellenic Hub and kindly supported by the Children’s Reading Club of the Greek Library(Παιδική Λέσχη Ανάγνωσης). Children’s books will be on sale. Please note: Adults are admitted only if accompanying children.
